Wisdom Academy began with nothing but hope for a brighter future in 2007. Since then there have been nearly constant improvements and enhancements to the primary school. Currently, the facilities include a playground, 14 classrooms, an administration building with a teachers lounge, a kitchen, a water tower, auditorium, and bathrooms. It supports over 200 local destitute children, some of whom walk two hours a day to attend Wisdom Academy.

In the Gucha District, out of approximately 100 schools, Wisdom Academy is ranked #1
Academic demands are high at Wisdom Academy. School is in session from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday which is a standard schedule in Kenya. The admission policy is to ONLY accept those who are unable to pay the costs to attend school. Wisdom Academy provides the only opportunity for these children to attend school as public and private schools cost money. The students take this chance seriously as their test scores demonstrate.
